The Experience
Robo Portraits is a live event entertainment experience where a robotic arm draws custom AI-generated portraits of your guests in real time. Guests sit at the station, pick their style, and watch the robot draw their portrait line by line — then take the original physical artwork home. It operates at birthday parties, corporate events, weddings, wedding socials, galas, fundraisers, and trade shows in Winnipeg and across Canada.
No. A photo booth captures a moment — someone presses a button and leaves in 30 seconds with a photo strip. This is live entertainment. The robot draws your portrait in front of you, in real time. People gather to watch. The drawing process is visible and crowd-forming in a way a photo booth never is. The output is also fundamentally different — original artwork on paper, not a strip of snapshots.
Every guest receives a physical print of their portrait, handed to them immediately after it is drawn. It is original artwork on paper — not a photo strip, not a digital file, not a download link. Guests take it home on the spot.
No. Our operator guides every guest through the process — they sit down, pick their style at the tablet, hold still for a moment, and watch the robot draw. Most guests understand what to do just by watching the first few portraits happen. No announcements, no briefing, no instructions needed from you.
Yes. The experience is designed to feel polished and appropriate for corporate and formal settings. The Monet style in particular produces refined, elegant line-art portraits that are genuinely framing-worthy — not novelty prints. It has been used at executive functions, charity galas, and client appreciation events.
Portraits & Styles
Two AI styles are available. Monet — realistic, elegant line art with high likeness and refined detail. Suited to weddings, galas, and corporate events where guests want something framing-worthy. Davinci — bold, expressive caricatures with personality. Popular at birthday parties, wedding socials, and any event where guests want a laugh. Guests choose their style at the tablet, or you can lock in one style for a consistent look across the event.
Portrait (head and shoulders), half-body, full-body, groups, and pets are all available. More detailed compositions take longer to draw. WiFi is required for the more complex styles — we confirm this with your venue before the event.
It depends on the style chosen. Simpler caricature styles (Davinci) can be done in about 1–2 minutes. More detailed realistic portraits (Monet) take a little longer — up to around 4–5 minutes. Watching the robot draw is part of the experience, so the wait never feels like a wait. Our operator manages the flow throughout the event so lines don’t build up.
Yes — full-body, groups, and pets are all available in addition to standard portrait and half-body. These more detailed compositions take longer and require a reliable WiFi connection. They’re great for couples at weddings or groups at corporate events who want something more elaborate.
Yes. Your logo, event name, date, or a custom frame design can be added to every portrait. For galas and charitable events, custom branded paper and cards are also available. Custom branding is a paid add-on — pricing depends on your event and requirements and is confirmed at booking. Mention it when you enquire and we’ll include it in your quote.
Setup & Logistics
Up to 4 robots sit on a standard 6-foot table. We need clearance in front for guests to sit and watch, and space behind for our operator to run the laptop. We’ve set up in living rooms, hotel ballrooms, backyard tents, trade show booths, and banquet halls. If you’re unsure about your space, share the floor plan when you enquire and we’ll confirm it works.
Yes — one standard 120V outlet is all we need. A power bar works fine. For outdoor events or venues without accessible power, a small generator is compatible. Let us know your setup when you book and we’ll make sure everything is covered.
Yes — a reliable WiFi connection is required for the more detailed drawing styles. Without it we’re limited to simpler, faster styles. Most venues have no issues. We confirm connectivity with your venue before the event so there are no surprises on the day. If your event is outdoors or in a space with limited connectivity, let us know when you book and we’ll plan accordingly.
Our setup is quick and low-key. We can be ready well before your event starts without disrupting your venue prep. We configure the robots, connect to WiFi, run tests, and are good to go before guests arrive. Teardown is equally straightforward — we leave the space exactly as we found it.
Yes — completely. We handle delivery, setup, full operation throughout the event, and teardown. You don’t need to prepare anything, brief guests, or manage anything on the day. Our operator runs the full experience.
We always bring a 4th robot as a dedicated on-site backup. If anything goes wrong with an active robot, the backup is deployed within minutes. Your event doesn’t stop and your guests don’t notice a thing. The backup is a standard part of every booking — not an upgrade.
Pricing & Booking
All packages include 2 robots running simultaneously for 2 hours. Pricing starts at $899 for birthday parties, $1,099 for weddings and galas, and $1,299 for corporate events. Trade show and large activation pricing is custom quoted. All prices are in CAD. See the pricing page for full details.
A 50% deposit secures your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event. No payment is required at the time of enquiry — the deposit is only processed after you’ve confirmed availability and reviewed your event details.
Reach out for any date — we’ll always let you know what’s available. Popular weekends, the fall holiday season, and summer Saturdays tend to fill up. But don’t let timing stop you from enquiring — we’ll do our best to accommodate regardless of how soon your event is.
All base packages include 2 robots running simultaneously, fully managed by our on-site operator. A third robot can be added for larger events or higher throughput. A 4th robot also travels to every event as a dedicated backup — included as standard, not an upgrade.
Yes to both. Extra time can be added in 30-minute increments. A third robot can be added for events where higher throughput matters. Both are priced at booking — mention your needs when you enquire and we’ll quote accordingly.
Event Types
Birthday parties, corporate events (staff parties, holiday parties, client appreciation, networking), weddings, wedding socials, galas, fundraisers, grad parties, trade shows, and large brand activations. If you have guests and a power outlet, it works. See the events page for details on each.
All ages. Kids aged 4–14 are the most enthusiastic — they always choose the Davinci caricature mode and love watching the robot draw. Adults engage just as naturally, particularly at corporate events and weddings where the Monet style produces something genuinely worth keeping.
Each robot produces approximately 25–30 portraits per hour depending on style. With 2 robots running simultaneously, that’s 50–60 per hour — 100+ over a standard 2-hour event. A third robot increases this further. Tell us your expected guest count when you enquire and we’ll recommend the right setup.
Yes — and it’s a particularly strong fit. Socials are high-energy, high-attendance events where most guests have been to dozens of others. The robot gives yours something genuinely different. It runs naturally alongside dancing, raffles, and games without needing any structure. See the weddings page for more.
Yes. The robot can be used as a live fundraising activity where guests donate per portrait drawn. Your team collects contributions on the night and we handle all the drawings. How you structure it — suggested amounts, how you communicate it to donors — is entirely up to you. See the galas page for more detail.
Yes — trade shows are a different use case. The robot is a crowd-formation tool that draws attendees to your booth, creates dwell time for your team to have real conversations, and leaves every visitor with a branded portrait. Multi-robot deployments, multi-day events, and cross-border travel are all available. See the trade show page for full details.
Travel
Yes. We service all of Manitoba and travel across Canada and the US for trade shows, corporate activations, and large events. Cities served include Las Vegas, Chicago, Minneapolis, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, and all major conference markets. Travel costs are quoted separately and itemised upfront — no surprise charges after the event.
Flights, accommodation, freight, and equipment shipping are all itemised in your quote upfront. There are no surprise invoices after the event. For cross-border events, customs documentation and logistics are fully managed by our team.
Yes. Multi-day events are a strong fit, particularly for trade shows and conferences. Equipment is packed down nightly, stored securely, and redeployed each morning to the same calibration. Our operator handles everything between days — no logistics coordination required from your team. Multi-day bookings typically receive a 10–15% discount.
