The Process

How it works
at your party.

Three steps, run by our attendant. Nothing for you to organize or explain on the night.

We set up before your party starts

We arrive at least 30 minutes before your drawing time starts, set up our table, robot and photo tablet, and test everything. We bring our own internet hotspot, so no venue WiFi is needed.

Guests step in whenever they like

Each portrait takes about 1.5 to 2.5 minutes, depending on the style. Guests join at any point during your booked drawing time; our attendant guides them through the process and manages the flow.

They take their drawing home

Each portrait is drawn in pen on 6 × 4 inch card and handed to the guest: a drawing, not a print. Digital copies can be arranged before the event (price on request). We pack down in about 20 minutes afterwards.

About 1.5 minutes for the simple style and about 2.5 minutes for the detailed style, including the photo. Our attendant manages the flow.

No. We bring our own internet hotspot, so your venue doesn’t need to provide WiFi.

There’s no per-portrait fee: the limit is how many portraits can be drawn in your booked time. For planning, 2 hours with 1 robot is about 45 portraits, with 2 robots about 90 and with 3 about 130. For a bigger party, add robots or extra time ($125 per robot per hour, in 30-minute blocks).

We bring a 6-foot table. We need room in front for guests to watch and room behind for our attendant, plus one standard outlet nearby (we bring a 6-plug extension cord). Backyard parties work if you provide power and a tent or cover over the station.

School and campus events are a custom quote. Tell us the expected attendance, the timing and the venue, and we’ll recommend a setup (up to 3 robots at one event).

Yes. We set up at least 30 minutes before your drawing time, run the station during it and pack down in about 20 minutes. Our attendant guides guests; you don’t need to brief anyone.

Yes, as a paid add-on: names, graduation year, school name or your own design on the card ($250), branded card stock ($350 for up to 200 cards, $550 for up to 400) or a logo drawn into every portrait ($250).

As early as you can, but you can send an inquiry for any date. Saturdays carry a 15% peak-date fee, and bookings made less than 14 days before the event carry a 10% rush fee.

Guests choose a realistic line portrait or a caricature, in a simple or detailed version. Full body, group and pet portraits are available too.

Each portrait is drawn in pen by the robot on 6 × 4 inch, 300 gsm card. It’s a drawing, not a print.
